Leaders in London 2008 took place in December
“It’s one of the most important gatherings in the world” Michael Porter, Harvard Business School
Hundreds of delegates shared the expertise of some of the greatest leaders in the world. By far the most powerful gathering of ‘how to beat a downturn’ experts this year.
Muhammad Yunus was the first to speak with a talk about how to challenge conventional industry wisdom using his own inspirational example of the Grameen Bank. Delegates then heard from Daniel Goleman, Charlie Mayfield, Bill George, Philip Kotler, Luke Johnson, Ron Dennis and Garry Kasparov as well as an interesting panel session with Steve Tappin, Mark Tucker, Philip Rosedale and Carolyn McCall.
Day 2 began with Carly Fiorina - a natural presenter and powerful leader who set the tone for the rest of the day. Other speakers on Day 2 were Vijay Govindarajan, Richard Reed, Gary Hamel, Jack Welch (via satellite), Andy Cosslett, Mark Penn, Captain Michael Abrashoff and Rudy Giuliani
Attendees posed a number of questions at the end of each talk and the book signings gave many the opportunity to get up close and have a personal Q&A with the speakers. The exclusive events were more popular than ever.
